We were already 3 cm and 80% effaced with irregular contractions at our last doctor's appointment before Macy was born. Our doctor wanted to go ahead and schedule an induction since we live about 30 minutes from the hospital (without traffic). We were very unsure if we wanted to try and wait it out or if we wanted to go in and have that little bit of extra help. After almost backing out about 100 times, we finally went in to the hospital at 7:30am for our scheduled induction. We are so very grateful that we did!! When the doctor broke our water, he found meconium in the amniotic fluid so our little baby needed to get out ASAP. After walking for hours to try and get the already regular contractions to grow stronger, we were put on a pit drip and chained to the bed. I was very nervous what the pit was going to do to my body since all I had ever heard or read was that the contractions would be absolutely unbearable without an epidural. Luckily my body was able to get working properly while I laid back and watched "Jumanji" :) The nurse was pretty amused by the fact that I was still laughing during the contractions, even when they were less than 2 minutes apart. Once we hit hard labor there was no more laughing. Luckily we only had to endure about 2 hours of true pain until little Macy was ready for her big appearance. As soon as our doctor entered the room and they had taken the bed apart, we were pushing. Macy came out on the first contraction and luckily the doc was ready to catch her. The NICU team swept her to the side to examine her throat and mouth to make sure she had not been overexposed or aspirated any meconium while in the womb. We are so blessed that she was perfectly fine and they were able to hand her over within minutes. She had such a soft and sweet cry. We are so glad she is finally here. We love our super sweet little snuggle bug so very much. <3
I could not have made it through without my wonderful husband!
He was absolutely amazing.

Maddie was a little freaked out when she first got to the hospital.
She warmed up quickly once she discovered all the buttons
on the bed.

Once Maddie discovered there was a baby in the room,
all she wanted to do was give her sweet kisses.
This was Maddie's first reaction to Macy <3
Time literally flew by while we were in the hospital!!
(they had very cool self setting satellite clocks)
You forget how small they are until you try to put
them in a car seat!
Maddie's favorite part about coming home was this balloon that came on a flower basket from her Papa.
Our WONDERFUL welcome home signs!! Made coming home that much sweeter!!
