Walking, Talking and Sprouting Teeth

We have had our hands full with this little girl lately.  She finally got her first two teeth to pop through after 2 1/2 months of teething.  Maddie is our "delicate flower" as Sam likes to call her.  She is very in tune with everything going on with her and around her.  Unfortunatly, teething was no different.  I think the poor little thing feels every little ache and pain and she lets everyone else know about it.  After those darn teeth finally made an appearance, we got our sweet little girl back for a few weeks.  In those two weeks, without all that pain for a distraction, she was able to focus on her speech and mobility.  She started pointing to all of the pictures around the house of Bradley and saying "Bubba." Bubba is actually the name that Bradley gave to his sister when she was still in the belly.  He has been calling her that since before she was born (while he talked to her in the belly), so it is super special that she decided to call him that as well.  We officially claimed that as her first word.  She loves that brother of hers so much and gets excited every time she sees his face.  It has slowly started turning into Bra-bee.  She is also starting to use Daddy and Mama more often as well. I think she will start identifying objects with names more regularly with the weeks to come.

Can you see my new teeth?

They are finally here

Maddie has also become a walker!! She has been standing and taking a step here and there for a few months now.  In the past two weeks, she has really figured it out and is loving it.  She focuses so hard!! It is adorable.  There are even times that she gets frustrated and grunts when she falls on her bum.  Also adorable.  Here is a video that we caught of her walking across the loft.
